SAIVA (South Asians’ International Volunteer Association) is a central Texas-based nonprofit organization with a mission to promote a sense of well-being, belonging and fulfillment for older adults of South Asian heritage through community engagement, education, partnership building, and advocacy & civic involvement.
SAIVA aims to empower South Asians older adults to be active participants in the communities in which they live. SAIVA offers opportunities for older adults to engage in volunteer activities with community organizations, and also provides technology and healthcare education opportunities to members. SAIVA provides members with information on community services and volunteer opportunities older adults can engage in, and in doing so, can actively support the community they are a part of.
