Storytime with Grandparents

Storytime With Grandparents is a heartwarming program that fosters intergenerational storytelling by bringing together seniors and children through the magic of storytelling. We create audio stories for children by recording diverse children's books in an engaging format, celebrating different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. Through the voices of our volunteers, including many grandmothers and seniors from the community, each story is brought to life in a comforting way that children can truly connect with and understand.

By making these audio stories available on the SAIVA website and YouTube channel, we aim to spark a love of reading and curiosity in young minds, providing access to unique tales that might not be found elsewhere. Storytime With Grandparents also emphasizes cultural appreciation by sharing stories from a variety of traditions and backgrounds. This program enriches children’s lives while giving our seniors the opportunity to share their wisdom, warmth, and passion for storytelling with a new generation.
